Cute Baby Shower Favors

Hello! So to follow up on my previous post I wanted to share the final super cute baby shower popcorn favors.

So I created the tags with my new Cricut Explore Air 2. I cut circles out of light pink and then the text out of dark pink. I used transfer paper on the dark pink and then added glue to the back and glued the light pink circle onto the back and peeled the transfer paper off. Then I cut the pink popcorn boxes with the Cricut and also used it to (at the same time) write the “pink chocolate popcorn” logo onto the boxes. Then I simply assembled them together.

I made the chocolate covered popcorn by buying pink chocolate wafers at Bulk Barn, melting them and pouring them over the popped popcorn. Mixed it all in and voila!

Filled the custom popcorn boxes and placed them into tall plastic bags I bought at Michaels. Used some pink twine to tie them up and added the tags.

So a little bit of effort and created some super cute baby shower favors. You can create them in blue for boys or use a neutral color for unknown.

New Cricut Pen Adapters

Hello! I wanted to share with you how excited I was when I got my new Cricut Explore Air 2 that it writes whatever I design. I love the accuracy of that feature but I also wanted to use different pens than just the Cricut ones so I went on the hunt and found KidSharpProductions Cricut Pen Adapters which are awesome and work great!

They came well packaged and quickly in the mail even international here to Canada. Here in Canada I had bought GelWriter pens at Michaels for 15$ CAD (Costco also sells the GelWriter pens for better price and more pens, found this out afterwards) which are different from the Gelly Roll ones they talk about but I was able to use their Gelly Roll adapter for the Gel Writer pens and it looks awesome on the side of my popcorn favor boxes that I’m going to make for my sister-in-law’s baby shower! I love the sparkly dark pink! I created this logo in Photoshop as I’m going to make pink chocolate covered popcorn. Can’t wait to share the final favor product!

Here’s a video of the new Gelly Roll Cricut Adapter working in my new Cricut Explore Air 2 with the GelWriter Dark Pink pen. So pretty!

Cute Baby Shower Favors!

Hello! So I’m super excited to share that my brother and his wife had their first baby, Emma, and she’s SO cute! I get to be the lucky one planning the baby shower which we are having after she was born so all the family can come meet her.

My theme is all pink since she’s a baby girl and I wanted to make some kind of cute and yummy favors. So I went looking on Pinterest and found pink chocolate covered popcorn as a tasty treat everyone can take home with them. Here’s the recipe I found;

I also LOVE my new Cricut Explore Air 2! And I knew that with it I could create customized popcorn boxes and tags for all the guests. So I created a design in Photoshop for the tag with the cute phrase: “Thanks for Popping By!” You can click on it and use the same file I did to make these super cute favor tags!

Then I uploaded my png file to Cricut Design Space. I cut one light pink circle for behind and one with the png file in darker pink for on top. I then weeded out the unwanted paper and placed the darker pink onto Cricut transfer paper. I added some glue to the back and put the light pink circle onto it then removed the transfer paper and Voila! A super cute popcorn box tag for the favors.

I will now be creating the popcorn boxes so stay tuned and I can’t wait to share the whole process with you for you to create at your own baby showers:)
